Curious & Rooted (“Curious & Rooted,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the Curious & Rooted mobile application and related services, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

When you create and use a Curious & Rooted account, we may collect:

Account information

Name or display name
Email address
Account authentication information

Reflections and personal content

Guided reflections you choose to create and save
Information you voluntarily enter into reflection prompts

Private reflections are associated with your account so you can return to them later. They are not shared with the community unless you intentionally choose to share content through a community feature.

Nourish and practice activity

Meditation or breathwork activity
Completed practices
Practice counts used to show your activity and progress

Circle community activity
If you choose to post within Circle, your post and associated profile information may be visible to other Curious & Rooted users. Reactions and other interactions you make within Circle may also be stored.

Please avoid sharing information publicly that you do not want other members of the community to see.

How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through Curious & Rooted to:

Create and maintain your account
Save and display your reflections
Provide reflection, meditation, breathwork, and other app features
Show your activity and progress
Operate the Circle community
Maintain the security and functionality of the app
Troubleshoot technical issues
Respond to support and privacy requests
Improve Curious & Rooted

We do not sell your personal information.

How Your Information Is Stored

Curious & Rooted uses Supabase for services including authentication and database storage. Information associated with your account may be processed and stored through Supabase infrastructure.

We take reasonable steps to protect information within the app, although no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers when necessary to operate Curious & Rooted, including providers that support hosting, authentication, database storage, or technical infrastructure.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of Curious & Rooted, our users, or others.

Content you intentionally post within Circle may be visible to other Curious & Rooted users.

Tracking and Advertising

Curious & Rooted does not currently use third party advertising, advertising tracking, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar advertising technologies.

Your Choices and Your Data

You may choose what information you provide when using Curious & Rooted.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to applicable law.

Account Deletion

Users can delete their Curious & Rooted account directly within the app through the Profile screen. Deleting an account permanently deletes the account and associated personal data stored by Curious & Rooted.

Certain information may be retained when required by law or for legitimate security, fraud prevention, or legal purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Curious & Rooted is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Wellness Disclaimer

Curious & Rooted provides tools intended to support reflection, mindfulness, and general well-being.

Curious & Rooted is not a medical, mental health, or emergency service. Its content is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition or replace care from a qualified professional.

If you are experiencing an emergency or believe you may be in immediate danger, contact appropriate emergency services in your location.

Third Party Services

Curious & Rooted may rely on third party services to provide portions of the app’s functionality. Those providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements with Curious & Rooted.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Curious & Rooted evolves. If material changes are made, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
